This is a special education certified staff position that will serve students with cognitive disabilities at Southeast Schools in Yoder, Wyoming, and Lingle Fort Laramie Schools in Lingle, Wyoming, for the 2024-2025 academic year. The caseload will be 5-6 students, grades K-6, with the primary responsibility to develop and implement programming specific to each student's needs. Start date is August 13, 2024.
Purpose Statement
The job of Teacher - Special Education was established for the purpose/s of developing special education students' success in academics, interpersonal skills and activities of daily living by implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities, outcomes; addressing students' specific needs; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
This position reports to the Director of Special Services.
Experience Job related experience is desired.
Education Bachelor degree in Special Education
Continuing Educ./Training Maintains PTSB certification by earning 5 credit hours per every 5 year renewal period
Certificates & Licenses Professional Teaching Standards Board Certification with applicable Special Education endorsement(s)
